Privacy Policy

Primacare Pharmacy (“Primacare”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit primacarepharmonline.com, shop with us or speak to our pharmacists, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA).

1. Information we collect

  • Contact and account details: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, delivery and billing address, and account login.
  • Order details: the products you buy, order history, delivery instructions and any discount codes used.
  • Health information you choose to share: for example your health goals, conditions, medicines or pregnancy status when you request a consultation, wellness plan or pharmacist advice. We only collect this with your consent and use it to give you safe, appropriate advice.
  • Payment information: payments are processed securely by Paystack. We do not see or store your full card details.
  • Technical and usage data: device and browser type, IP address, pages visited and how you use our website, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
  • Communications: messages you send us by email, phone, WhatsApp, website forms or social media.

2. How we use your information

  • To process, deliver and support your orders, including payment, delivery and returns.
  • To provide pharmacist advice, consultations and personalised wellness recommendations you ask for.
  • To manage your account and respond to your questions.
  • To send you health tips, offers and Primacare Club benefits where you have agreed to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To improve our website, products and services, and to keep our site secure and prevent fraud.
  • To meet our legal and regulatory obligations as a licensed pharmacy.

We rely on the following lawful bases: performing our contract with you, your consent (including for health information and marketing), our legitimate interests in running and improving our business, and compliance with the law.

3. Who we share it with

We never sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run our business, and only as much as they need, for example:

  • Payment processing (Paystack)
  • Delivery and logistics partners
  • Website hosting, email, customer relationship and marketing tools (such as Hostinger and Zoho)
  • Analytics providers (such as Google) to understand how our website is used
  • Our affiliate tracking provider, where you arrive through a partner link
  • Regulators, law enforcement or professional advisers where required by law

Some of these providers may store data outside Nigeria. Where this happens, we take steps required by the NDPA to make sure your information remains protected.

4. Cookies

We use cookies to keep your cart and account working, remember your preferences, measure site performance and, with your consent, show you relevant offers. You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work properly without them.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your information only for as long as needed for the purposes above, including to meet legal, accounting and pharmacy record-keeping requirements. When it is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.

6. How we protect it

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, secure payment processing, restricted staff access and regular security updates. No online system is completely secure, but we work hard to keep your data safe.

7. Your rights

Under the NDPA you have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • ask us to delete your information, or restrict how we use it;
  • object to processing, including for direct marketing;
  • receive your information in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time; and
  • lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the time required by law.

8. Children

Our website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 without the consent of a parent or guardian. Parents may contact us about products for their children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
