Description
Astragalus (Astragalus membranaceus) is a root that has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries, often as a daily tonic. Today it is popular for supporting the immune system and, increasingly, for heart and kidney health. Double Wood uses a concentrated 4:1 extract, so each serving gives you the equivalent of 2 grams of astragalus root.

How to take it
Take two capsules a day with a meal.
Good to know
Because astragalus may stimulate the immune system, do not take it if you have an autoimmune condition (such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis or multiple sclerosis) or take medicines that suppress the immune system, such as after a transplant. It may also interact with blood pressure medicines, diuretics and lithium, so please check with our pharmacist first if you take any regular medicine. Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
